Providing youth with counseling services, workshops, and resources to promote emotional well-being and resilience. We aim to reduce stigma and equip young people with skills to manage stress and anxiety.
Mental Wellness is a foundational part of Fursa’s mission because emotional health influences academic performance, decision-making, relationships, and the ability of youth to realize their full potential. We recognize that many young people in Kwale face challenges such as stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and social pressure — often with limited access to support.
Our mental wellness programs provide safe spaces where youth can express themselves, receive psychosocial support, learn coping skills, and build emotional resilience. Through peer-support sessions, mentorship, art therapy, awareness campaigns, school-based programs, and community engagement, we raise awareness and reduce the stigma around mental health.
Fursa collaborates with local counselors, health professionals, schools, and community structures to ensure young people have access to the help they need. We integrate mental wellness across all our thematic areas because healthy minds create strong leaders, peaceful communities, and empowered youth.
Our goal is to normalize seeking help, promote emotional well-being, and create a culture where every young person feels valued, understood, and supported.
